Fort Mill, SC – Mr. Donnie David Blanchard, Sr, 71, died Monday, April 27,2026, at the home of his daughter in Mississippi.

The family will receive friends at 1 pm Friday, May 1, 2026, at Whitesell Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm with the Rev. Barry Yates officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park.

A native of Chesterfield County, SC, Mr. Blanchard was a son of the late David M Blanchard and Gracie McClain Blanchard. He was an carpenter, the family handyman and enjoyed woodworking. He was always our comedic relief. He was an avid fisherman. He will be dearly missed for his laughter and his hugs.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Efird Blanchard; three children, Amanda Nicole Copeland and her husband, Joe, Donnie David Blanchard, Jr. and his wife, Catie, Kimberly Wood and her husband, Eric; three sisters, Peggy Robertson, Janice Blanchard, and Linda Hill, and her husband, Phil; 7 grandchildren, Taylor Jackson and her husband, Cody, Joseph Lee Copeland, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, Donnie David Blanchard III, Corbyn James Blanchard, Nicolas Smith, Erica Broadwell and her husband, Christian, and John Michael Wood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred B. Taylor.
