Donna Norris Troutman, 85 of 507 Blue Field Ln Fort Mill, SC passed peacefully away on September 2, 2026 at Embrace Hospice House in Charlotte, NC following a long illness.

She was born in the family home on Mill Creek near Lake Glenville on January 31, 1941 to Carl and Melba Norris. Her parents moved the family to Waynesville, NC where she was raised and attended school. She met her husband of 69 years, Michael Troutman at the church they both attended. Later, she and her husband then moved to Spartanburg SC where they continued to raise their children and where most of her career was spent working at Cryovac. They then moved to Fort Mill SC whereeventually both she and Michael retired.

She is survived by her husband Michael O Troutman, daughter Cheryll Davis (Alvin), son Steve, grandchildren Justin Seay (Jennifer), Erica Suits {Patrick), Thomas Troutman (Angeline), as well as her great grandchildren Ava, Emme and Lucy Seay, Olivia, Parker and Charlotte Suits and Emory Troutman. She is also survived by her sister Jeanette Laws and nephew Judson Laws of Lakemont GA.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Michelle Williams as well as her parents Carl and Melba Norris.

Her passions were working in her lawn and her flower gardens as she had an amazing green thumb! Her gardens and lawn are testament to her passion for all things beautiful. She also loved watching the birds that flocked around her flowers and her many feeders. Donna was a generous and loving woman who adored being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife to her husband Michael, whom she loved to travel with. 

A graveside memorial service will he held at a later date in Waynesville Her family will gather at the home this Saturday.

Donna’s life cannot be measured simply by the years she lived, but by the family she nurtured and the love she gave them as well as the memories she created. Our lives are better because she was the integral part of them.

She was deeply loved and she will be deeply missed.
