"Don" Otho Patterson

Waxhaw, NC - "Don" Otho Dunlap Patterson, 71, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016, at McWhorter House, Monroe, NC.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Whitesell Funeral Home, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016, at Whitesell Funeral Home with Rev. James Locklair officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC.

A native of York County, SC Mr. Patterson was a son of the late John Walter Patterson and Tressie Fay Totherow Patterson. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a man who always had a smile on his face even in the hardest of times. He had a strong faith in God that sustained him in life.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda McManus Patterson; two daughters, Wendy Patterson and Donna Patterson; two sons, Donnie Patterson and Jeff Patterson; three brothers, Mackey Patterson, Joe Patterson, and Albert Patterson; seven sisters, Betty Jean Gregory, Peggy Bayne, Janice Dawson, Faye Bass, Florene Locklair, Libby Higginbotham and Cathy Rains; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Jordan and Renia Patterson.
