Dennis Joseph Rieff

Dennis Joseph Rieff , 71, of Rock Hill, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He was born July 14, 1946 in Queens, NY, son of the late Kenneth Rieff and Alice Ottoson Rieff O’Brien.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Rieff; step-father, Edward O’Brien; mother-in-law, Rita Cioffi; and father-in-law, Ralph Cioffi.

Dennis proudly served his country as a C130 mechanic in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. A jack of all trades, he was a master woodworker and enjoyed time spent fishing. He will always be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, husband, uncle and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memory and friendship his wife, Phyllis Rieff of SC; daughter, Cathieann Rowland and husband, Eric and his grandson, Connor John Rowland, all of Oceanside, NY; son, Patrick Rieff of DE; and nieces, Samantha Cioffi and Alexandra Cioffi, both of W. Harrison, NY.

Services will be privately held at a later date.
