Delano Boyce Covington Sr.

Delano Boyce Covington, Sr., 73, of 1718 Pope Street, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Agape Senior in Rock Hill. A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Covington was born March 7, 1937 a son of the late John A. and Toye Evans Covington. He was retired from Celanese and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.Surviving are his wife Louise Furr Covington; a son Delano Boyce Covington, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Charlotte; two sisters Mildred Jeanette Covington of Rock Hill and Grace Hannen of Louisville, KY; one grandchild Amber M. Covington of Rock Hill. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Covington will be held Tuesday at 7:00pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
