We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Darryl Antoine Joseph, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was born on September 4, 1966, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to Willie and Louise Joseph.
Darryl passed away on January 29, 2026. He will be remembered for his elaborate storytelling, contagious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Darryl is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Teri; his sons, Brett and Dominique; his mother, Louise Joseph; his brothers, Eric Joseph (Sheneque) and Willie Joseph (Carolyn) ; his sisters, Beverly Curry and Angela Joseph; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as a large extended family and many friends who became family.
A proud graduate of Rock Hill High School, Class of 1986, Darryl went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy for 20 years. Throughout his military career, he earned the respect and admiration of his fellow service members for his dedication, integrity, and character. Following his retirement, Darryl continued his journey with United Refrigeration (formerly C.C. Dickson Warehouse), where he faithfully served for 16 years, from 2008 to 2024.
Outside of his service, Darryl found joy in cheering on his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers. His love for sports was infectious, and he especially treasured watching games surrounded by family and friends. He loved spending time with his extended military family, with whom he formed lifelong bonds of brotherhood and friendship.
Darryl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing his legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Joseph.
