Daniel Lee Kirtland

Fort Mill – Major Daniel Lee Kirtland, 73, died Monday, December 14, 2020, at Atrium Health Pineville, Charlotte, NC.

A native of Los Angeles County, CA, Mr. Kirtland was a son of the late Scott Kirtland and Mary Ford Kirtland.  He was a retired Major from the US Army where he served in the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed flying and was a private pilot.  His passion for the airways also expressed itself in his love for model airplanes. He will be remembered as a loving husband who not only loved his wife but his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Patricia Ashburn Kirtland; and his very good friends, Ron and Christa Brownfield, and their children, Rebecca and Sarah Brownfield; and his army buddy, Bill Lundeilus.
