Daniel Levert Carter

York - Mr. Daniel Levert Carter, 68, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Piedmont Medial Center.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Living By Faith Baptist Church, 2201 Chester Highway, York SC 29745, with Rev. Rick Sturgis officiating.

A native of Lebanon, Kansas, Mr. Carter was a son of the late Claude L Carter and Elma McConnell Carter. He was a loving son, brother, grandfather and uncle to many. He was a devoted and loving husband. He will be remembered as an extraordinary father to his children. He was retired from AME Construction. He was a Navy Veteran. He loved working with wood and building rocking horses.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis Keen (Toni) and Chris Carter (Shannon); two daughters, Annalisa Carter (Eric) and Stephanie Greene (T.J.); a brother, David Carter; two sisters, Barbara Phipps and Donna Carter; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
