It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Crystal Renee Childers, who went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2026, at the age of 44. Crystal was born on June 15, 1982, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and was a longtime resident of Sharon, South Carolina.

Crystal's professional career included work in landscaping, as a medical assistant, and in insurance sales. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication in each of her endeavors.

Outside of work, Crystal enjoyed drawing, scrapbooking, tending to her flowers, and spending time outdoors, especially fishing. She was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help others. When things were uncertain, Crystal had a simple way of offering reassurance, often saying, “It will be fine.” She valued her family and friends and enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Crystal is survived by her brother, Jody Jones; her sisters, Tiffany Boyd, Ashley Boyd, and Tanaja Boyd; her aunt, Becky Comer and her husband, Michael; and her uncle, Tommy Childers. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annette Boyd; her father, Robert Wilson; her grandparents, Shirley and Buster Childers; numerous uncles, great-aunts, and great-uncles; and her two cherished companions, Lulu and Daisy.

A memorial service to celebrate Crystal's life will be held at Sharon Baptist Church, 3850 York Street, Sharon, South Carolina, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements are being handled by Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.

Crystal will be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness, generosity, and the many personal connections she made throughout her life.
