Charles Jackson "Jack" Currence

Charles Jackson "Jack" Currence, 87, passed away June 1, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center. Son of the late Thomas E. and Annie Mae Brandon Currence. Mr. Currence was an active member of Antioch United Methodist Church, and he previously worked at Star Paper Tube, R.L. Waldrop Supply, and retired from Springs Industries as a truck driver. Mr. Currence was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran stationed in Hawaii and Hickam A.F.B. He was preceded in death by a son Donald Jackson "Donnie" Currence in 1986; two brothers Ed and Lewis Currence; and three sisters Patsy C. Rice, Frankie C. Alexander, and Grace C. Goforth. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Faye Dunlap Currence; a granddaughter Lisa Michelle "Shelley" Currence and husband Mike; great-granddaughters Ella Lynn, Elyssa Laine, and Nora Mary Fae Currence; sixteen nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00am at Laurelwood Cemetery with Pastor Donna Lollis officiating. The family will receive friends at the home. Memorials may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, 930 W Rambo Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
