Rock Hill, SC - Mr. Charles Ray Canty, 54, died Monday, April 27, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Whitesell Funeral Home with the Rev. Alex Fetterson officiating.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mr. Canty is a son of Patricia Trott Bumgardner and the late Marion Thomas Canty. He will be remembered as a man who always got excited when his grandchildren were coming for a visit and spending time with his god-daughter, Gracie. He enjoyed racing, pulling for his Dallas Cowboys, playing cards, and singing Karaoke - Paint Me a Brimingham. He loved the outdoors and the beach.

Surviving in addition to his mother; his wife, Angela Lail Canty; two daughters, Amelia Canty and Jessica Canty; a son, Joshua Rowell; a sister, Tammy Crawford; two grandchildren, Prince and Tucker; three sister-in-laws, Cindy Stallard, Carol Emmett, and Tanya Rutherford; and a family best friend, Betsy Holland. He was preceded in death by his father; a step-mother, Joann Canty; and a brother-in-law, Doc Rutherford.

Following the service a Celebration of Life will be held from 5 - 7 pm at Cherry Park and everyone is asked to bring a covered dish to share with everyone.
