Cepeda Orlando "Pedro" Chatman, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 39.

Affectionately known as "Pedro," Cepeda was born on June 18, 1987, in Flint, Michigan. He was a proud graduate of Flint Southwestern Academy, Class of 2005, and later pursued his passion for skilled trades by completing technical training in automotive detailing and automotive painting in Connecticut.

Throughout his life, Pedro was known for his dedication, determination, and strong work ethic. He approached every opportunity with purpose and took great pride in providing for his family while building meaningful relationships with those around him. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a Delivery Manager with Hub Group, where he successfully led projects and coordinated operations across the nation. His professionalism, reliability, and commitment to excellence earned the respect of colleagues and those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Rock Hill became the place he proudly called home, where he built meaningful friendships that became family. Pedro cherished the relationships he cultivated throughout his life and was deeply loved by those whose lives he touched.

One of Pedro's greatest passions was cooking. He especially loved the art of smoking premium cuts of beef, taking pride in preparing meals that brought family and friends together. For Pedro, cooking was more than a hobby—it was one of the many ways he expressed his love. Above all else, Pedro's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his beloved son, Lando. He treasured every moment they spent together, especially teaching him how to cook and creating memories that will forever remain in his son's heart. The love he had for Lando was immeasurable and unconditional.

Pedro leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Patricia Watson, his cherished son Lando T. Chatman of Rock Hill, South Carolina; his father, Cepeda Chatman, Sr. and stepfather Scott Watson both of Flint, Michigan; sister Shytance Wren of Baltimore, MD.; brothers Sean Conner of Memphis, Tennessee; Malike Brandon, Flint, MI and his loving former wife, Elizabeth Chatman of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Uncle Timothy (Cathi) Freeman and Aunt Charlotte Freeman of Flint, MI.

He also leaves behind an extraordinary group of friends who became family and stood beside him throughout life's journey. Now considered Lando’s village: Jason Bucher, Gerrell Haralson, Leniece Proby, Darrian and Kelsey Isaac, all of Columbus, Ohio; Jesse and Susie Mercado of Charlotte, North Carolina; James McIntyre of Portsmouth, Ohio; Emilio Llanas, Carlos Otero both of Rock Hill, South Carolina; Karen Love of Fort Mill, South Carolina; Randall and Abijah Tucker of Spartanburg, South Carolina; LeNiecia Gray of Memphis, Tennessee; Layla Torabi, of Phoenix, Az., along with countless other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Pedro was preceded in death by his older brother Orlando Kevon Loggins of Memphis, Tennessee.

The family extends their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Jesse Mercado, whose courage, loyalty, and selfless efforts in doing everything within his power to save Pedro's life will never be forgotten. Your compassion and unwavering friendship will always hold a special place in our hearts. You deserve a badge of honor.

Pedro's legacy lives on through the laughter he shared, the meals he lovingly prepared, the friendships he nurtured, and, most importantly, through the love he poured into his son and family. Though his time with us was far too brief, his impact will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
