Sharon, SC - Mrs. Cathy Canty Woody, formerly of Rock Hill, 71, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Friday, July 14, 2023, at Whitesell Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba Ward Church Cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, SC Mrs. Woody was a daughter of the late Huey Alvin Canty and Lee Euffla Hunter Canty.
Surviving are her children, Anthoney Herring (Felicia), Kimberly Aikens (Hubert), Victoria Claiborne (Kenneth), and Suzanne Pena (Wil); a brother, Huey Canty (Rhonda); three sisters, Cindy Edwards (Danny), Jane McDaniels (Steve), and Anita Hinson (Jeff); 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Neal Canty.
