Carolyn Polk Helms

Carolyn Polk Helms, 75, of Rock Hill passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013, at 11:00 am at Mt. Holly United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Born in Rock Hill, she was a daughter of Nolan B. Polk, Sr. and Cora P. Polk. Carolyn enjoyed a long career as a legal secretary with Spencer & Spencer, P.A. Her retirement years were spent traveling the country with her husband, Tommy, and enjoying her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harry, Nolen, Jr., Roy, Gene, and John, and her sister, Anne Tibbetts. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Thomas E. Helms; daughters, Cathy (Rick) Long of Savannah and Donna (Keith) Corley of Irmo; sisters, Doris Baker and Martha Faye Adams; and grandchildren, Jordan (Alana) Long, Caitlin Long, Mary Catherine Corley, and Chris Corley.
