Caroline Ray Antilley

January 12, 2001 — January 17, 2026

Fort Mill, SC

Caroline Ray Antilley, 25, passed lovingly into the arms of Jesus at 7:02 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, with her family by her side.

Caroline was born in Arlington, Texas, on January 12, 2001. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder with a projected five-year life expectancy and expectations of limited quality of life. Caroline’s strength, determination, and stubbornness instead led her to live a beautiful, fun, and happy life. She was a medical miracle.

Caroline began horse therapy at the age of two and played Miracle League Baseball when she was five. She was a participant in multiple local Special Olympics competitions, with bowling as her favorite event. Caroline was also an honorary torchbearer for the 2015 Special Olympics. She loved the little things in life: balloons, the Finding Nemo DVD case, a Starbucks Grande Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with almond milk and no whip, the beach, shopping trips to Goodwill with her Aunt Kim, ice cream, Chick-fil-A waffle fries, red Icees from Burger King or the Valero, and Dr Pepper with a straw.

She was a swimmer and had an excellent underwater back flip. She was also our resident seatbelt police, especially making sure her chaperone always had one on. Caroline loved Christmas, from decorating her own tree to opening not only her own presents but everyone else’s as well. She was a Texas girl at heart and would be giddy traveling from South Carolina to visit her family in Texas. Her grandparents were some of her favorite people, and she loved getting their undivided attention. Caroline loved her family. She was a Daddy’s girl but Mama’s best friend. She loved her sissy and all the overnight sleepovers where she had Caylee all to herself. She even grew to love Adam and would con him into taking her to go get Icees. She had a special place in her heart for Cason but would be annoyed if he showed up without an Icee for her. Caroline loved her sister-in-law, Caitlyn, and would give her a hug as soon as she saw her. Being close in age, Caroline and Caleb’s relationship was one of true sibling rivalry, but she loved him dearly and spent a lot of time with him this past year.

Caroline was a member of Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church and attended Nation Ford High School. After high school, she continued to live at home and tolerated her mom watching her three nephews, often coming out of her room at the end of the day to make sure everyone had left.

Caroline is survived by her parents, Dan and Leslee Antilley of Fort Mill, SC; her sister, Caylee King (Adam); her brother, Cason Antilley (Caitlyn); her brother, Caleb Antilley; three nephews, Charlie King, Henry King, and Conrad Antilley; her grandparents, Lester and Florence Anderle of Windthorst, Texas; numerous aunts and uncles; 34 first cousins; and many more friends and family who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her Granny, Janis Antilley; her Papa, Dan Antilley, Sr; two aunts, Joanne Antilley and Lyndee Antilley; and her loyal unofficial service dog, Padme.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her name to the Special Olympics of South Carolina or to your local school for use in their Special Education classrooms.
