Carol Jane Pietruszak

Carol Jane Pietruszak, 76, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025.

Carol was born on August 28, 1949 to Captain William and Edna Zehner Pietruszak in Mahoning, PA. Growing up Carol spent time in Texas, Germany, Japan, and Washington DC.

After graduating high school, Carol went on to study Geology at James Madison University. She earned a master’s degree and started teaching for the Virginia school system.

In 2014 Carol retired and spent her time rescuing and rehoming cats. She had an incredible love for animals.

Carol was predeceased by her parents and long time companion, Forest Gordon. She is survived by her cousin and godson, Robert W. DeLellis, II and his family of Fort Mill, SC and numerous other cousins and friends.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter in Carol’s name.
