Carol Gibson

Fort Mill - Mrs. Carol Ann Sunderland Gibson, 73, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at White Oak Manor of Rock Hill.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Friday, July 14, 2017, at Whitesell Funeral Home with Gary Welch officiating. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be 3 p.m. Monday at Culloden Baptist Church Cemetery, Culloden, West Virginia.

A native of Milton, West Virginia, Mrs. Gibson was a daughter of the late Fred and Martha Kathleen Sergent Sunderland. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was a 50 year member of the Fort Mill VFW Post #9138, a member of the Fort Mill American Legion Post #43, and the Moose Lodge in Fort Mill.

Surviving are her two daughters, Jerra Leann Kendrick and her husband, Happy, and Christa Gibson Cloud and her husband, William; two sister-in-laws, Donna Gale Sunderland and Linda Sturgill Gibson; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Justin Cloud; and many nieces and nephews.
