Bruce Carl Brown, 78, of Fort Mill, SC, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2026. He was born on December 12, 1947, in Chicago, IL, and was a longtime resident of Fort Mill.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Louis Brown and Esther Mariane Brown, and his wife of 43 years, Sheila Auten Brown.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Shannon Cain and her husband, Jeff; his grandson, Elisha Baker; his brother, John Brown and his wife, Pat; his niece, Kristin Brown; his niece, Megan Carter, her husband, Gregory, and their children, Maxwell and Mallory Carter.

Bruce worked for Comporium, formerly Fort Mill Telephone Company, where he served as a Network Supervisor. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Mill, the Shriners Club, an organization he believed in deeply and the Freemasons.

In his free time, Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns, and keeping up with the news. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill, SC. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Arrangements are entrusted to Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.
