Brent, 46, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Brent Brazier Lyons will forever be missed for his humor, charm, wit, and generous nature. Brent was a father, friend, husband, brother, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, comedian, salesman, entrepreneur, huntsman, and fisherman.
Brent was born in Rockford, Illinois and raised in Clearwater, Florida. He grew up loving baseball, fishing, surfing and working at his family’s knife store inside Countryside Mall. After high school Brent moved to Jacksonville, Florida and quickly learned being a salesman was his natural calling.
Brent and wife Jennifer Lyons moved to Fort Mill, SC in 2003 where they raised their daughters Jordan Lyons (17) and Dylan Lyons (12). He loved his daughters beyond measure; they were his pride and joy. He shared his love of fishing and the ocean with his family along the Gulf and Atlantic, and especially in Hilton Head. Brent was so proud to see his daughters excel in academics, on the golf course, and the soccer field. Most of all, he loved making Jordan and Dylan laugh.
Over the span of his career, Brent developed retail companies and was a polished salesman. Brent was highly respected in his work community. Brent was never afraid to get his hands dirty and always willing to help others. Brent could instantly connect with strangers, and people were drawn to him. He found humor in all situations and loved being social. Brent maintained a large network and a group of close friendships that began in his childhood.
Brent’s love for his family and friends ran deep. Father of Jordan and Dylan Lyons; son of Mr. Tim Lyons and Ms. Sally Lyons; sister of Danielle Beck (husband Corey) and Aimee Murphy; grandson of Eleanor Lyons and late George Lyons; nieces Madeline and Julie Beck.
Passionate about the outdoors, Brent was an avid hunter and enjoyed hanging out with the guys in the woods. His gift for making those around him laugh was extraordinary. His sense of humor was sharp, often playful at the expense of others—but for Brent, that was how he showed his love. If he was teasing you, it meant you had a special place in his heart. He found humor in almost all situations.
To those who knew him best, Brent was the kind of person you could always count on—whether you needed a hand in difficult times or someone to share a laugh with. His presence brought comfort, lightness, and joy, and his memory will continue to do the same.
