Brenda Gale Parker (Hubbs) Kemp

Catawba, SC – Mrs. Brenda Hubbs Parker Kemp, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Atrium Health Main, Charlotte, NC.

A memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Southside Baptist Church, 1229 South Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Kemp was a daughter of the late Oliver William Hubbs and Bobbie Smith Hubbs.  She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC where one of the ministries that she was involved with was the Sign Language ministry.    She was a Children’s Public Librarian in Lancaster, SC where she enjoyed being the storyteller.

Surviving are her husband, Stanley Kemp; a step-son, Greg Boone (Angie); two brothers, Jonathan Hubbs and Charles Wesley Hubbs; and two sisters, Brenda Hubbs-Parker and Rebecca Susan Hubbs-Schenck.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bruce Hubbs; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Hubbs-Finley.
