Bill Skipper

Fort Mill, SC – Mr. Bill Skipper, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2024.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Whitesell Funeral Home and a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Rock Hill, SC.

A native of Rutherford County, NC, Mr. Skipper was a son of the late Anderson Lee Skipper and Macy Jane Sheehan Skipper.  He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the York Masonic Lodge #385.  He loved spending time outdoors, playing golf and taking care of his yard.  He was a welder by trade.

Surviving are his three children, Rhonda Skipper Coursey (Mark), Billy Skipper (Jodi) and Sharon Bodiford (Charles); his close friend, Charles Cassidy; two grandchildren, David Coursey, Jr. and Macee Coursey (Josh); and three great-grandchildren, Aubri Cook, Hunter Banks Cook and Jamison Coursey; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ruth Bratton Skipper; four brothers; and two sisters.
