Barney Kell Hood, Jr., 59, of Indian Land, SC passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born June 25, 1966 in York County, he was the son of the late Barney Kell Hood, Sr. and Sarah Broome Hood.

Barney was a lifelong resident of Indian Land. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, and riding four wheelers. He will be remembered best for his dedication to his family and friends.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Novant Health, and especially to the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
