Mr. Arthur Henry Hollis Sr., 96, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Henry was the son of the late Avery Dalton Hollis sr. and Annie Gill Duncan Hollis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donn June Allen Hollis; his son, Arthur Henry Hollis Jr.; his brother, Avery Dalton Hollis Jr.(Clara) of Saluda, South Carolina; and his sister, Elizabeth H. Radcliffe (Rip) of Greenwood, South Carolina.

 Known to family and friends as "Henry," he worked for Rock Hill Printing & Finishing, later known as Spring Mill, for more than 50 years in Instrumentation and Maintenance. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a friend to everyone he met. 

Henry enjoyed boating, fishing, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his family. He was full of life and treasured every moment spent with those he loved. 

Mr. Hollis is survived by his daughters, Rebecca H. Roderick (Ray) and Amy H. Martin(Dean), both of Rock Hill, South Carolina; granddaughters Megan L. Amerson (Brian) of Sumter, South Carolina, and Mallary M. Clark (Jared) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; grandsons Michael B. Long (Jacqueline) of York, South Carolina, Landon D. Martin of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Ryan C. Hollis. 

He is also survived by his great-grandsons, Hollis E. Clark, Thaddeus H. Clark, Callaway W. Clark, Lawson A. Amerson, and Ledger E. Amerson; and his great-granddaughters, Mia C. Long and Riley R. Long. 

Additional survivors include his nephews, Avery D. Hollis III (Rachel), John Hollis(Annie), Ralph Radcliffe (Ruth), and Arthur Radcliffe; and his nieces, Reverend Karen Radcliffe, Sherry Jewel, Diane Thompson (Wade), Kimberly Yanik (Jim), and Pam Jacobson (Tommy).

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2115 Celanese Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina29732. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. 

The funeral service will be officiated by his niece, Reverend Karen Radcliffe, and Renee Garrison. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church. 

Henry's legacy of hard work, kindness, faith, and devotion to family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved him.
