Anthony “Tony” J. Bale, 72, of Indian Land, SC, formerly from Ramsey, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on December 30, 1952, in Johnson City, NY, Tony lived a life marked by dedication to his work, his loved ones, and the values he held dear.
Tony spent most of his life in New Jersey, where he graduated from Paramus Catholic High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island, where he was a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta. He also earned a Master’s degree from the University of Alabama. Tony started off his corporate life in HR and then sales. He went on to build a successful career in commercial construction sales, eventually becoming a business owner, known for his business sense, integrity, and tireless work ethic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty; daughter Katie Brower (Todd), son Michael (Tabitha) and grandchildren Ben, Owen, Macy, Brynn and Emmett. He is predeceased by his parents, Jack and Betty Lou Bale, and brother Chris. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Lou, and brother, John, as well as his extended family, lifelong friends, and colleagues, all of whom will miss his sharp wit, kind heart, and unwavering support.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy came from being with his family. He found peace and pleasure in the simple joys of life. He was an avid reader with a lifelong passion for golf and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. Above all, he loved supporting his children and grandchildren, proudly showing up to cheer them on in every activity and milestone. His legacy lives on in the strength, humor, and love he instilled in those around him.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC, on August 7, 10:45 AM. Visitation will be held prior to the mass at 10 AM. There will be a celebration of Tony’s life in NJ in September.
