Anthony Benjamin Gillis

We are saddened to announce the passing of Anthony Benjamin Gillis, of Rock Hill, SC, and formerly of Charlotte, NC who passed away on November 10th, 2025.

A talented cook by profession, Anthony spent his days crafting delicious meals, infusing his work with the same enthusiasm and warmth that he brought to all aspects of his life.

Anthony had a keen interest in politics, current topics, and management, always eager to engage in spirited discussions and lend his insights. In his leisure time, he found joy in playing basketball, watching football, and sharing moments of camaraderie with friends and family.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who were touched by his kindness and vigor. Preceding him in death were his son, Curtis Blake Gillis, and his grandparents.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Anthony's life will be held at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill, SC, on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Receiving of friends will begin immediately following the service. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember a man who made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Anthony will be forever remembered for his love, laughter, and unwavering spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. He was known for his beautiful smile, which complemented his generous nature and kind heart.
