Amelia "Amy" Ingham

July 5, 1931 — September 12, 2025

Indian Land, SC

Amelia “Amy” Ingham, 94, of Sun City in Indian Land, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 5, 1931, Amy lived a long and joyful life filled with family, faith, laughter, and friendship.

Amy was the beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Ingham, who passed away in 1988. She was the daughter of the late Josephine and Dominick Boemio. She is survived by her two daughters, Stacey Ivancic (Michael) and Allison Sullivan (Brian), along with her adored grandsons, Zak Ivancic and Jack Sullivan. She is also survived by her loving brother, Tom Boemio, and sister, Marie Casella.

Over the years, Amy worked in administrative roles with the Weather Bureau, Hancock Air Force Base, and the North Syracuse School System. But her true life’s work was the way she made those around her feel — cared for, supported, and genuinely valued.

A devoted Catholic and member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Amy’s faith grounded her, but her humor and lighthearted spirit made her unforgettable. She laughed easily and often, brightening every room she entered. She loved going out to eat with friends — especially if margaritas were involved — and spent many happy hours playing cards with her friends and sharing stories around the table. Amy was blessed with an amazing group of friends who looked out for her, and their love and support meant the world to her.

Amy will be remembered as someone who never wanted to impose on anyone, instead offering love, laughter, and kindness to all. She lived independently, which was a testament to her strength and resilience. Her family and friends will carry with them the gift of her joyful outlook and the memory of her kindness.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the chapel of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Ballantyne at 8015 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28277.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html

Amy’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her laughter a legacy that will live on.
