Ms. Helen Alene Baker, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of Knoxville, TN, Alene was a daughter of the late William and Lula Mae Baker. Born June 30, 1924 she worked for Springs Industries, and was a member of Inspiration Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Paul Baker and two sisters Thelma Bradley and Irene Swindell. Surviving are three sisters Esther Stutts of Rock Hill, Rozella Rimes of Savannah, GA and Caroline Swett of Midway, GA. A memorial service to celebrate Alene's life will be held at a later date. Memorials in honor of Alene may be made to Inspiration Baptist Church, 921 Comer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
